What Jesus Gives

What does Jesus give to those who accept His
gift of salvation?
He gives so much more than we've seen in our imagination.

And the amazing part of it all, everything comes
in the package deal when on His name you call.

The faith to believe, the power to receive,
the strength to grieve and the peace that does relieve.

These are just a few of the blessings Jesus does bestow,
as to His altar you and I willingly go.

Every time there was something I needed from my loving Savior,
I would plead with Him, now I see that was such silly behavior.

Once I accepted Jesus and surrendered to Him,
all of the benefits of salvation immediately did begin.

No need to beg for the outpouring of the Spirit,
I did and then cried because I thought Jesus didn't hear it.

No all of that is included you see,
so great is the love God has for you and me.

We must recognize it's a part of the salvation plan,
part of the gift already given to every man.

We must receive it or claim it and expect it's arrival, Every aspect will be revealed at precisely the right time,
trusting in Jesus instead of worrying can be so sublime.

Oh I'm not saying there will never be sadness or sorrow,
but we won't be crushed, we'll be looking toward heaven's
tomorrow.

Knowing the full rewards in the salvation plan,
helps us remember we are held in Gods own hand.

Provisions have been made for our every need,
so come on world, with God's grace we will succeed.

What Jesus gives allows us peace of mind,
as we face life's most trying times.

Jesus is our Shepherd

Jesus is our shepherd, we hear His beckoning call.
We recognize and we follow one and all.

We each hear when the time is right,
and responding to His beckoning gives us delight.

We recognize His voice and gladly obey,
accepting salvation as we bow to pray.

We acknowledge that a choice has to be made,
and we accept having the price of our sins paid.

We desire to receive life for eternity,
the loving gift Jesus offers to you and me.

We determine in our hearts to make the choice,
and we shout it to the world in a grateful voice.

We all share together in the new found joy,
and ask God our services to diligently employ.

We reach out to others who haven't yet heard,
and share with them the truth in God's Holy Word.

Jesus is our shepherd and we follow Him willingly,
directly through heaven's gates for eternity.

With Arms Opened Wide

With arms opened wide Jesus hung on the cross,
just so you and I need not be lost.

Arms extended as He took on our sin,
while He asked His Father to forgive what was done to Him.

Seeking even in suffering what He came to achieve,
and that being the burden of our sins to relieve.

With arms opened wide as He hung so piteously,
Jesus paid the price so we'd live for eternity.

Having lived a life free of all sin,
willing to die so the Plan Of Salvation could begin.

Having been betrayed and publicly persecuted,
then ridiculed and so cruelly executed.

They gambled for the garments He'd once worn,
while they tormented Him in hateful scorn.

Buried in a borrowed grave, covered by a stone,
our blessed Savior who so much love had shown.

Three days later He'd risen to win the victory,
now all who believe will live for eternity.

Sitting on the right hand of God the Father,
encouraging all to seek the lost a little harder.

When we arrive in Heaven what will we see?
Jesus with arms opened wide to greet you and me!
