Was It For Naught

Was it for naught that Jesus died in our place,
or have you accepted salvation and joined the race?

Have you sought the truth in God's Holy Word,
have you learned what took place and why it occurred?

Do you see that a choice must be made,
that is why the price for our sins was paid?

God's love is so perfect, so pure and true,
that it can not be forced on me or you.

It must be chosen by us each on our own,
as the truth of Salvation to each is made known.

What took place on Calvary was for us you see,
so we could live with God for eternity.

But in order for us this precious gift to receive,
we must find the truth and believe.

We must repent of all past sin,
and open our heart's door and invite Jesus in.

The Holy Spirit does the changing from inside,
where you have invited Him to reside.

We on our own could not bring the changes about,
so we surrender daily and let Him work them out.

I couldn't let Jesus' suffering be for naught,
so I've chosen salvation as I was taught.

Please seek and find and recognize the choice,
then speak it clearly with your own voice.

Don't miss out don't be left behind,
all who seek are promised this truth they'll find.

Unconditional Love

Unconditional love, more than we can understand,
that is what God offers to each and every man.

Love not based on what we can or will do.
Love constantly being offered to me and you.

Love deeper than any other we've ever known.
Love the depth of which has already been shown.

Love so great the Son was willing to die.
Love so intense that God willing stood by.

Love so awesome they gave up so much for you and me,
and made provision for us for eternity.

Love so active they watch over us day by day,
and sent us a Comforter to guide our way.

Love not based on what you are today,
but willing to change you if you surrender as you pray.

Love so strong it withstands even denial,
and will still help us get through any trial.

Unconditional love offered to you and me,
a love so perfect it will last throughout eternity.
