Battle Of Babylon
Warriors fall around me,
Each screaming with the pains,
The sights of these demons,
But we fight on,
I must fight ON!
Swinging my sword guided by faith,
Destroying those who stood in my way,
Demons fell around me,
As I forged my way through.
The demonic ranks.
Women and children at arms fought.
And were slaughtered.
All fell around me, yet I continued.
I could not stop. Babylon shall not fall.
To me side there was a mighty battle cry,
And there stood an angel, wings spread,
Sword so ornamental and ancient,
I cannot even begin to explain.
With a glance at me and a smile,
He closed his wings and danced into the fray.
Angles appeared, all around me,
Fighting by my side,
A cry arose to my lips,
As we fell back to the onslaught.
FOR BABYLON! FOR FREEDOM!
There was a great cheer.
As the humans pushed forward.
The demons falling to weapons that once,
Farmed this land we fight for.
Humans and angels alike began singing.
The tones of thousands echoed the chant,
The grace of which continued to gain in strength.
Angles and Humans fought side by side,
Animals from the forests came and fell,
Creatures, Insects, Angels, all fought for Babylon.
Pulling through the ranks I stood before my foe.
The Fallen angel stood before me, Wings ablaze.
Fire surging through his hair, his clothes, his very essence.
Kneeling, I began to pray. To my lord, and for Babylon.
Standing to my feet we began the dance.
Sword and claw colliding with fiery results.
We danced, from dusk till dawn,
Sunrises passing, into moonshine.
And yet, neither of us struck the final blow.
A surge of power fulfilled my destiny.
Great white wings, Emerged from my back,
Hair, turning a silvery gold.
With one last strike the blade glimmered,
The air itself parted to the blow.
And with a final cry,
Babylon rose again.
The cry could be heard as the last of the demons,
Turned and fell before the angels..
FOR BABYLON! FOR FREEDOM!!
